Central and South American
South American coffee generally share many of the characteristics with those of Central America and are often very mild-bodied. Coffees in these regions are sometimes cupped with a slight chocolate aftertaste. Colombia and Brazil make up the bulk of the coffee growing countries in South America, with Brazil being the worlds largest coffee producer. Central American coffees in this region are generally described as having a clean and bright taste with balanced acidity: exceptionally well-balanced and mild to medium in body. Most coffees in this region are harvested from Costa Rica, Guatemala, Nicaragua and bordered by Mexico to the north.
